Lydia F. Gray, DVM MA

Dr. Gray currently serves as the Medical Director for SmartPak Equine, LLC.  Since its founding in 1999, SmartPak has emerged as the unquestioned leader in daily dose packaging of equine and canine foods, medicines and nutritional products. In addition to the SmartPak daily dose packaging system, the company offers a broad line of horse health and rider items, dog supplies, and equine and canine pharmacy items sold through the company’s catalog and Web site.

Prior to joining SmartPak, Dr. Gray served as the first-ever Director of Owner Education for the American Association of Equine Practitioners. She is often quoted and has authored articles in numerous publications including The Horse, Horse Illustrated, Western Horseman and a variety of veterinary journals and magazines.

After graduating with honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and receiving her Master's Degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication, Dr. Gray practiced at the Tremont Veterinary Clinic for several years.

She currently chairs the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association's Educational Program Committee and regularly speaks at veterinary conferences.
